Updated COVID-19 Exclusions for Race Meetings at Thoroughbred Park, Canberra
In consultation with Racing NSW Stewards, the Canberra Racing Club wishes to advise of COVID-19 border restriction changes made by ACT Government relevant to travelling participants and patrons. As of 3pm Tuesday 12th January 2021, those travelling from certain Sydney regions as well as the Central Coast and Wollongong can now enter the ACT freely. Local Government Areas as listed below remain restricted and persons who have entered these areas are not permitted to enter the ACT, thus excluding them from our Friday 22nd January race meeting.
The 11 specific Local Government Areas that restrictions remain in place for are:
- Northern Beaches
- Blacktown City
- Burwood
- Canada Bay City
- Canterbury-Bankstown
- Cumberland
- Fairfield City
- Inner West
- Liverpool City
- Paramatta City
- Strathfield Municipality
As such, those based at Royal Randwick and at provincial Clubs will now be able to enter their horses at Thoroughbred Park once again. Those based at Rosehill Gardens and Warwick Farm remain excluded until further notice.
Patrons and participants who live outside the 11 listed areas (including those from the ACT) but have travelled to a listed area in the 14 days prior to Friday 22 January are excluded from this race meeting at Thoroughbred Park.
