Twilight Racing Returns to Thoroughbred Park

Twilight racing returns to Thoroughbred Park this Friday evening with proceedings kicking off at 2:50pm. The strong racing card will be joined by an abundance of entertainment for all ages. With live music, plenty of kid’s activities and free entry it’s a great night out for the whole family.

The evening will be headlined by a quality edition of the TAB Federal. 2018/2019 Canberra Horse of the Year Prince Jacko finally returns after a number of meetings across the region were abandoned. The Matthew Dale trained Elm Court is one the astute judge will be keeping an eye on. The lightly-raced Mare has won three of her seven starts including a TAB Highway at Rosehill. “I was really happy with her last trial.” Dale said.

“She was supposed to resume in Moruya but that was abandoned and then she was balloted out of a TAB Highway so there’s a bit bigger gap between her trial and this first-up start than I would have hoped.” Dale said.

Elm Court remains as a genuine Country Championships horse. “She fits the criteria” Dale said.

“She’s lightly raced. But we’ll get through Friday and see how she goes.”

The Country Championships Qualifier is at Nowra on the 16th of February.
