ROCKAROSA to Rock the TAB Federal

The Canberra Racing Club will host a strong card of seven races at Thoroughbred Park on the grass Course Proper on Wednesday 3 June. With this winter’s five meetings transferred from the Acton Track to the Course Proper, 87 horses have accepted for the meeting resulting in full fields which is headlined by a strong field of 13 in the TAB Federal over 1300m.

A recent addition to the powerful Keith Dryden team at Canberra, Rockarosa is set to prove hard to beat in the TAB Federal. Formerly trained by Chris Waller in Sydney, Rockarosa posted a strong victory at her first start for Dryden in the Queen of the South during the Wagga Carnival. This victory was followed up with a strong sixth in Sydney beaten by 2.1 lengths, highlighting the form of the three year old filly.

Although she is yet to win below 1400m, the return to country grade and the polish of Dryden will have her firm in the market in the 1300m feature for $30,000. With 15 wins from his last 50 starters, including five of his last six runners, The Dryden stable is in red hot form. With eight runners at the meeting, including three in the TAB Federal, the stable can be followed with confidence.

The TAB Federal is race six on the program and is set to go at 3.24pm. The race meeting gets underway at 12.29pm and the last of seven rounds out of the program at 3.59pm. With strict biosecurity protocols remaining in force, the meeting will be patron free but tune into Sky Channel for all of the action.
