Redbank North to lend name to Barbara Joseph & Darren Beadman Medals in 2023

The Canberra Racing Club is thrilled to announce a new partnership with leading local breeding, racing and agistment operation Redbank North that will see them gain naming rights to the Barbara Joseph & Darren Beadman Medals from 2023.

The Medals recognise the best performed Trainer and Jockey of the Canberra Racing Carnival and Canberra Racing Club Acting Chief Executive Matthew Kolek is elated to have Redbank North involved from 2023.

“Redbank North have long been great supporters of racing in this region and their support of the Barbara Joseph & Darren Beadman Medal’s are further evidence of their commitment to the industry as a whole.”

“We would like to thank Jamie & Fiona Middleton at Redbank North and look forward to fostering a strong long-term relationship.”

A picturesque 1300 acre property located in Harden, Redbank North has had a long affiliation with Canberra racing, having raced many horses through Thoroughbred Park-based Trainers.

Redbank North are the breeders of Canberra’s favourite daughter, the Group One winning Single Gaze, who was trained by Nick Olive and are currently involved with a number of Canberra-trained gallopers.

“We’ve got shares in around 10 that are in work at Thoroughbred Park and another six to eight that are in the paddock, some spelling out here with us.” Jamie Middleton said. “I am an obvious fan of both Canberra racing and racing in general.”

“I’d like to thank the Canberra Racing Club for giving us the opportunity to be involved in the Barbara Joseph and Darren Beadman Medals.”

“Racing does need sponsorship in order to flourish and Redbank North are delighted to contribute to a healthy racing industry in the ACT and region.”
