Lolita Gold at the End of the Rainbow

A double at Queanbeyan on Monday followed by a Lolita Gold victory in this Sunday’s TAB Federal over the 1600m would represent a significant turn around in fortunes for the Neil Osborne stable. Call Me Artie & Off To War were fantastic winners at Queanbeyan and were almost joined by another stablemate, Ronny Rock Art who ran a fantastic second placing. Less than half a length off a treble, things are starting to fall into place for Neil Osborne’s team.

“Things have definitely turned for the better” Osborne said. “Our better horses are starting to hit their straps and even our slower ones are running well.”

Stable star Lolita Gold was excellent first-up last start when second behind Mookareena. The two are due to do battle again with Lolita Gold to meet her rival 2kgs better off in the weights.

“I think Lolita Gold is going to be good enough to turn the tables on Mookareena on Sunday” Osborne said. “She is going terrifically and if her first-up performance is anything to go off, she will be right in the finish.”

Hosting a strong field with recent TAB Highway winner Scarleo engaged, the TAB Federal is Race 6 on Sunday’s program and is due to jump at 4:05pm.

Sunday’s Keith Dryden & Laurel Oak Bloodstock Day with the prolific team pairing up once again to sponsor the Road to the Jericho meeting. Dryden will have five runners at Thoroughbred Park on Sunday with Wandonna, donning the white, red and green of Laurel Oak Bloodstock.
