Canberra Racing Club to partner with Terry Campese Foundation

The Canberra Racing Club is delighted to announce a partnership with local charity the Terry Campese Foundation (TCF).

The TCF will host a fundraising race day event at Thoroughbred Park on Friday 3 September. TCF’s founder Terry Campese said “We’re very much looking forward to our event at Thoroughbred Park and I’m confident that the community will support what promises to be a great day of racing and entertainment.”

“The funds raised will go towards a 2022 youth mentor program to help with life skills, and build confidence in young people with a challenging trek at the conclusion of the program.”

“Tickets are on sale now and we’re currently on the hunt for some race sponsors so I urge anyone interested to make contact soon because they will go fast.”

The TCF mission is to support young people from the ACT/Queanbeyan area who are marginalised; helping them build confidence and self-worth. Amongst their good deeds in the community, the TCF support the Queanbeyan Sleepbus, Youth at risk and regional hospitals.

Canberra Racing Club Chief Executive Officer Andrew Clark said “We are thrilled to support the Terry Campese Foundation and their mission to support marginalised young people.”

“TCF join a long list of the Club’s charity and community partners and I am sure that the TCF’s race day event will prove to be a great fundraising venture for them in the years to come.”

The TCF’s race day event is already starting to garner community support with a major sponsor, Dawson Heating & Cooling committed to the event for the next three years. Dawson Heating & Cooling are passionate supporters of the Terry Campese Foundation and the wider ACT/Queanbeyan community.
