The biggest day on the Canberra racing calendar - John McGrath Auto Group Black Opal Stakes Day. The first day of the Canberra Racing Carnival is Canberra's biggest social event. The day will feature a famous atmosphere, multiple DJs, Fashions on the Field and roving entertainers. Keep an eye out for a big headline artist announcement.

Gates will open at 11am for Members & Owners.
Members will receive free entry to each day of the Canberra Racing Carnival with their Membership card. Members are also entitled to a complimentary Carnival pass that will see a friend or family member gain entry.
A Member can purchase up to two Members Day Passes for $50 each which will allow guests access into Member's areas. These can be purchased from the Race Day Office on Race Day. Each of these guests must purchase a General Admission ticket to entry the racecourse.
Owners will receive an Owners pack from the Owners tent at the Front Gate that includes two general admission tickets and two Owners wristbands that which will allow them access to Members areas.

Hosted at the beautiful Mercedes-Benz Showroom in Fyshwick, the Cocktail party celebrates the quality racing that is about to unfold at the 2022 Canberra Racing Carnival.
Live music and interviews with key racing participants highlight a prestigious evening featuring some of Canberra's biggest identities.
