23 July 2021 race meeting at Thoroughbred Park abandoned

The Canberra Racing Club wishes to advise that the race meeting scheduled for Friday 23 July 2021 on the Acton Track has been abandoned due to drainage issues and consistent rain.

The Club undertook significant efforts to rectify these drainage issues but ultimately the Acton Track was deemed unsuitable for racing by Club officials and Racing NSW Stewards.

Participant and equine welfare remains the Club’s absolute priority.

The Club acknowledges the impact that this has upon local participants and sincerely apoligises for all inconveniences caused.
