Pepper's stable spicing it up for Spring

Luke Pepper will run his two stable stars on Friday at Canberra, Erins Zar and She Zar.

The two horses have drawn promising barriers, with She Zar in Barrier 5 in the Benchmark 65 over 1000m and Erins Zar in Barrier 2 in the Class 2 over 1400m.

Both horses home bred by Pat O’Brien are by Zariz, and relish the softer going.    “They are both in fine form and the two kilo off should help She Zar but I am happy with both of their performances so far.  Erins Zar ended up on the worst part of the track on a Heavy 10 last start at Canberra and still managed the second placing, he is an honest horse and still immature but he is doing a good job” Pepper said.

The Pepper stable has notched up some good wins in his career over the past 6 years after hanging up the jockey silks in 2008.

The emerging stayer Appoint Percy will start this Saturday at Rosehill and although he has drawn and outside barrier shows a lot of talent.  Pepper will also start Hill Spy on Sunday at Wagga which he believes is primed for. “He was supposed to start at Coffs Harbour last week but it was rained out, so he is ready to go for Sunday”.
