Richard Freedman guest speaker for Autumn Lunch
Now in its third year running, The Thoroughbred Club of Australia – Canberra Branch Annual Autumn luncheon, as a prelude to the John McGrath Auto Group Black Opal Stakes has quickly grown to become a highlight of racing’s social calendar, with previous events all selling out, previous speakers engaged include Gai Waterhouse and Gerry Harvey.
Richard Freedman has had a long and successful career in the racing industry being one quarter of the all-conquering FBI (Freedman Brothers Incorporated) team, a member of the racing media through SKY Channel now enjoying success again as a trainer in Sydney.
Thoroughbred Park Chief Executive Peter Stubbs is thrilled that Richard Freedman will now continue the tradition. “Richard Freedman is one of Australia’s more recognizable racing personalities, is an incredibly gifted speaker and has Canberra roots, being raised at Hardwicke Stud and attending Canberra Grammar” he said. Richard promises to entertain with not only his in-depth knowledge of racing but his broader background in sport, racing and media”

The Autumn Luncheon is from 12 noon to 3pm on Friday 9 March. Tickets are $150 per person all inclusive and bookings close 23 February 2018. The luncheon is open to the general public.
