Just A Blur All Set For Scone Classic
Just A Blur will fly the Canberra flag in Saturday’s $200,000 Godolphin Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) at Scone.
Just A Blur will be backing up off her impressive win in the Wagga Town Plate.
Co-trainer Paul Jones says the brief time between runs will be no problem for the tough Canberra mare.
He points to her Goulburn Cup win on a 9-day back up following her victory in the Snake Gully Cup at Gundagai.
The Dark Jewel Classic looks a winnable race for Just A Blur who put away the well-performed Sure And Fast at Wagga coming from the back.
Jones says the mare’s program is progressing as planned and the stable has its eyes on the Glenlogan Park Stakes in Brisbane following Saturday’s Scone run.
Jones says jockey Mathew Cahill’s patience suits Just A Blur and he will again be aboard on Saturday.
The mare comes in on the minimum in the Classic and rates a strong hope.
