Farewell to Flair Gourmet Services

The proprietors of Flair Gourmet Services (Flair) Helen and Livio Braiuka have decided not to extend their contract beyond 30 June 2013 and the race day on 21 June 2013 was their last race meeting at Thoroughbred Park. Flair has served the Club well over the years and has done a great job not only at race meetings but also for the many non-race day functions conducted throughout the year at Thoroughbred Park. We wish them well in their future endeavours.

Akoona

Two year old filly Akoonah looks to have an exciting career ahead of her. Akoonah by Ready’s Image out of the Catbird mare Cathead has recorded three wins from three starts and has broken the Acton Track record at each of her last two Acton Track starts. Her record is made even more impressive by her win in an open age Class 2 Handicap at Canberra on 21st June 2013.
